LEADERS ABLE TO GENERATE OTHER LEADERS

Innovation and Strategy are always inextricably linked to the ability to be a leader in one's team, in one's organization and in the reference ecosystem. But how to increase one's awareness of being a leader and the relative ability to generate other leaders? YBP in collaboration with the Institute of Neuroscience of the Catholic University of Milan, after a year of research and design, created "GENERATING LEADERS TOOL" a tool focused on increasing the ability to recognize one's own leadership and to generate other leaders.

Nowadays, in successful corporations,
there isn’t a “boss” anymore, but groups of
leaders who work together to generate value in products and people.
The Generating Leaders Tool®, it’s an original tool developed by YBP together with the Neuroscience department of Cattolica University.
It helps people become aware of their ability to create the right conditions to bring innovation into their companies and generate other leaders.

We developed together with the Neuroscience department of Cattolica
University, an in-depth research observing and analysing lives of
generative leaders and innovators of the past such as

Nelson Mandela and Raffaello, as well as of the present like Bill Gates,
Ed Catmul, Page and Brin, Nadia Benabdallah and Janina Kugel

Dimensions

From this study we looked for commonalities
and similar elements in the lives and personalities
of these great leaders
and found 5
dimensions that are common to all
of them.

These are the key elements that bring positive innovation and generate other leaders:

Agency: the ability to sense and judge ourselves as the generators of an action and of its effects.

Awareness: consciousness about ourselves and others and the ability to express it. Provide feedback to generate self-awareness in others.

Vision: the ability to see beyond the present and to create the future with others.

Value system: the consistency to think, judge, and act accordingly to fundamental values. Being able to generate values and culture in others around us.

Responsibility: being actively present. Being accountable for our own actions and for the consequences they carry. Commitment and dedication. Providing others with the space to take their own responsibility.
