“LIA to be” Project
“LIA to be” is a multi-center project, with IRCCS Humanitas in Milano and IRCCS Policlinici Sant’Orsola in Bologna. It is focused on designing a virtuous, value-based model of home care for people with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and for their caregivers.
It aims to integrate hospital and territorial services to ensure high standards of safety, therapeutic adherence, and continuity of care.
The project includes risk analyses across Italian regions to assess feasibility and organizational readiness. Through anthropological conversations and multidisciplinary co-design, the project maps patient and caregiver needs to shape an optimized ‘to-be’ care pathway.
Ultimately, it seeks to bring high-quality AML treatment closer to patients’ homes while improving their quality of life.
