WHAT IS IT
YBP Innovation & Leadership Community is a group of top managers and entrepreneurs from different Industries, Countries and Cultures that works together to realise authentic and always new business solutions that could have a positive impact for society.
With this path we create value for ourselves, our companies, our people and our environment.

The INNOVATION & LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY was created by YBP in 2013 and is a free and safe space where senior leaders can personally experience a new leadership style based on empathy, able to manage high complexity and to bring high results.
At YBP Innovation & Leadership Community, top managers can be directly in front of reality and experience with other senior leaders the positive impact of learning from others, of asking questions, of observing the world around us, of taking the risk of sharing doubts; it's a place where they can say: “I don't understand…"
Where they can see that power is not the only way to lead.
YBP created this space because we believe that all of this is the novelty of true collaboration.
We believe that this will create an impactful project together.
We believe that this Community of people is the real prototype of new Leaders at the TOP.
THE ADVENTURE OF FRIENDSHIP:
HOW TO CREATE VALUE THROUGH AND WITH RELATIONSHIPS

On March 25th 2022, our Innovation & Leadership Community will be honored to work again with RUNA KHAN, a leader who is changing Bangladesh, her own Country.
Runa Khan is an advocate for human rights, women's empowerment, leadership, and the importance of cultivating human values. She is the founder and co-chair of Friendship, an International Social Purpose Organization established in 2002, that helps transform lives by working together with vulnerable people in the remotest communities.
Friendship's strategy focuses on 4 vital challenges: Saving Lives, Poverty Alleviation, Climate Adaptation and Empowerment. Over the years, Friendship has provided medical care in areas where people have almost no access to vital health services and where exposure to natural disasters is a daily reality.
Runa Khan's work is based on empathy, respect, a deep sense of justice and replicable innovation.
She received numerous awards among which: Green Award by Positive Planet Foundation (2016), Social Innovation Leadership Award by the World CSR Congress (2014), Social Entrepreneur Award, IDB for contribution toward Women in development (2008), Rolex Awards for Entrepreneurship (2006), an Ashoka fellow and a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur.
Runa Khan is also a board member of Global Dignity, on the Advisory Council of British Asian Trust, BIC Corporate Foundation, the Business Advisory Board of Independent University Bangladesh.

After a year of in-depth work on empathy, based on both scientific research and our co-creation, the step YBP’s Innovation & Leadership Community wants to take in 2021 is to bring everything we have discovered - to put ourselves in the shoes of others using the “Empathy Lexicon” and the “Empathy Model Canvas” - to a higher level: FROM THE LEADER to the ECOSYSTEM.

EMPATHY LEXICON
Recent studies on leadership and innovation,
conducted by some of the most important business schools and consultancy companies worldwide, show that the key to be successful in such a rapidly evolving business environment is empathy: the capacity to put yourself in the shoes of another person.
“The empathetic leader can foster an engaged and empowered workforce that, in a rapidly changing world, is the key to unlocking a company’s potential”, writes Egon Zehnder consultant Andrew Roscoe in the Financial Times. Moreover, empathy is essential when managing millennials who perform best for leaders who understand them as individuals.
For this reason, a scientific work on Empathy as the new way to be a Leader, is the core of I&LC 2020.
